We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.
You Are:
You are a seasoned professional with a strong background in analog design, particularly in the realm of SerDes and high-speed analog circuits. You have a BTech/MTech and 4-10 years of hands-on experience in designing analog front-end transceivers, voltage/current-mode drivers, delay-locked loops, phase-locked loops, regulators, equalizers (CTLE, FFE, DFE), impedance calibrators, serializers, deserializers, voltage-controlled oscillators, phase interpolators, bandgap references, and clock data recovery circuits. You are proficient with SPICE simulations and various sub-micron design methodologies, and have familiarity with automation/scripting languages like TCL and PERL. Your experience includes silicon-proven implementations of analog and mixed-signal building blocks. You are adept at micro-architecting circuits from specifications, creating simulation benches to verify those specifications, and debugging circuits. You have a knack for optimizing CMOS layouts to minimize parasitic effects and improve reliability. You are also aware of ESD issues and design for reliability considerations such as electromigration, IR drop, and aging.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure analog sub-block performance adheres to SerDes standards and architecture document specifications.
- Identify and refine circuit implementations to achieve optimal power, area, and performance targets.
- Propose design and verification strategies that utilize simulator features to ensure the highest quality design.
- Oversee physical layout to minimize the effect of parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
- Collaborate with digital RTL engineers on the verification of calibration, adaptation, and control algorithms for analog circuits.
- Present simulation data for peer and customer review.
- Take ownership of analog and mixed-signal building blocks integrated as part of a larger SerDes design.
- Document design features and test plans.
- Consult on the electrical characterization of your circuit within the SerDes IP product.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Drive the performance and reliability of our analog sub-blocks, ensuring they meet SerDes standards.
- Contribute to the optimization of power, area, and performance targets for our circuits.
- Enhance design quality through innovative verification strategies and simulator features.
- Ensure robust physical layouts that mitigate parasitics and process variations.
- Enable seamless integration of analog circuits with digital RTL through effective collaboration.
- Facilitate peer and customer understanding through clear presentation of simulation data.
- Lead the design and validation of critical analog and mixed-signal building blocks.
- Provide comprehensive documentation to support design implementation and testing.
- Support the electrical characterization of circuits, enhancing our SerDes IP product offerings.
What You’ll Need:
- 4-10 years of experience in SerDes/high-speed analog design.
- Proficiency in designing and simulating analog front-end transceivers, drivers, PLLs, DLLs, and other related circuits.
- Hands-on experience with SPICE simulations and sub-micron design methodologies.
- Familiarity with automation/scripting languages like TCL, PERL.
- Silicon-proven experience in implementing analog and mixed-signal building blocks.
Who You Are:
You are a detail-oriented and innovative problem solver with excellent analytical skills. You thrive in collaborative environments and are capable of effectively communicating complex technical information to peers and customers. You are passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in analog design and semiconductor technology.
