MetaPhase is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a high-impact, high-visibility program for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) under the ITSSS-2 contract. This role will drive the implementation of automated security controls and secure software delivery practices across cloud and hybrid environments. You will work directly with federal stakeholders and MetaPhase teammates to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and help advance the Bureau’s zero-trust goals. This position requires strong collaboration skills, technical excellence, and a passion for secure cloud transformation in sensitive government environments. What You Will Be Doing:
- Enhancing the developer experience and maintaining tools and processes to sustain development cadence
- Supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) efforts for secure code delivery
- Working closely with developers and infrastructure teams to implement secure configurations and hardened baselines
- Deploying and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for visibility and traceability
- Ensuring compliance with government security standards including NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and internal FBI controls
- Supporting incident response protocols and creating associated playbooks and processes
What We Need From You (Required):
- Current active Top-Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, or cybersecurity engineering
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD, automation, and secure development practices
- Experience working with AWS (preferred) and/or Azure cloud environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Superb written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus Points (desired):
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ISO 27001)
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles
- Skilled in using Jira and Confluence for Agile collaboration and documentation
- Prior experience supporting law enforcement or DOJ customers
Work Setup & Clearance:
- Winchester, VA
- Clearance: Position requires a current, active Top-Secret clearance with the capability to obtain an (SCI) as requested by the government. U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Compensation:
- Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 120k-170k.
